Hello and welcome.
If your visiting from facebook, nice on thanks for clicking, all the information below is fairly straight forward.
Facebook Page coming soon!!
Now some of you have wondered where I get my charts from and these guys without a shadow of a doubt deserve 150% of the credit.
1# Japaneselessons [website]
This website is my number one recommendation.
It can be found HERE!
You can register and view some basic Vocab, Hiragana Charts etc etc for free OR pay a once in a lifetime fee and get access to not just all of the information on there but also online chat, Questions and answers and much, much more. I hihgly recommend paying the fee plus it's cheap.
2# Japanese DeMYSTiFIED [Book]
This is a book I purchased at Easons for around €22 or so, yes slightly expensive but totally worth it. I mean it HAS everything including exercises and quizzes as well as in depth yet simple to follow explanations of everything. Totally worth the buy. It's a self teaching guide so if like me yourone of those people who can memorize and learn by themselves, this is for you.
3# Youtube
Yes Youtube is a great place to learn Japanese fro mthe people who live there or are simply japanese themselves. Youtube not only has great teachers who reply to your enquiries it also has a community of JVloggers [Japanese video Loggers] who basically video everything about japan related stuff.
4# Smartphone Apps
If you didn't know there are some amazing App.s out there that offer simple, modern yet easy ways to learn Japanese in any form. browse your Android store or Itunes store and see what they have.
The methods listed below are more for people who have gotten a reasonable grasp of Japanese and know a few words and phrases.
5# Learn Japanese via Anime and Manga
Okay so if like me your an Anime/Manga addict then this is an amazing way to get a good conversational level of understanding in Japanese. From watching anime constantly I have picked up quite a few phrases without even realizing.
Imagine if you purposefully used this method, imagine the results.
The method is simple:
-Buy/Download your favorite Anime [Dubbed in Japanese and Subbed in your native tongue]
-Watch one episode through a few times with the Subtitles on and then a few times with the subtitles off and see how you fair out.
-The same with manga though make sure it's in its original Japanese form, Could make for a good exercise.
6# Rosetta Stone
Yes I've mentioned it, I own the software for Japanese anyway. Learning through Rosetta stone you cna do at any level really but in my opinion its best done when you at least know Hiragana and katakana off by heart, what I mean is ROsetta stone acts as a great tool for exercises and keeping your brain intune with Japanese.
Worth the buy? I don't know, I mean if you have the mone yand are willing to get as much information as possible regardless of the source then buy it.
7# Skype
Skype? Your probably wondering.
Well yes, its simple, go onto the Skype forums and ask for a few native japanese speakers who are looking for a penpal and wish to further there understanding of English in exchange you'l ltalk to them in japanese for the same benefit.
This method I ONLY recommend if you have good moderate level of Japanese but is easily one of the best ways to get a good fluency of japense under your belt. Only problem is it requires a moderate understanding.
Thanks for reading, hope I've been of some help.
Ja ne. :D
